Mercedes-Benz E320 Bluetec diesel

But for auto enthusiasts, such regulations have proved to be a curse that has prevented them from enjoying modern diesel-powered cars offered by Mercedes and Volkswagen. The former, however, has risen up to the challenge with its new E320 Bluetec diesel.
According to the German automaker, its new car is as clean as any comparable gas-powered car. It achieves this feat through the use of the now famous Bluetec technology. Though diesel is efficient -- and actually emits less carbon dioxide than conventional motors -- it produces more nitrogen oxides and soot in the exhaust. The Bluetec technology removes the inherently high nitrogen oxide levels. This, in conjunction with the inherent properties of diesel combustion, namely its greater fuel combustion, has allowed Mercedes to offer an E-class with all the luxury and performance that one would associate with the brand, but with lower emissions and fuel economy that allows for 700 miles on a tank of gas. Those interested in leasing the above E-Class should head to their nearest dealership. Our take? As previously stated, the emissions are both a blessing and curse. With new systems in the pipeline, this stopgap offering will only be available for lease. And with only 100 examples available, you may still have to wait to drive that diesel after all.
